ABOUT MODE
FASHION, FOR EVERYONE.
Est. 2015

who we are
MODE Fashion Group is a club ran by students who are passionate about fashion, whether a student is accepted into the Apparel Merchandising / Design (ADM) major or not. Supported by the Family Consumer Science department and ADM faculty and staff, we are being prepared for the job market upon graduation. Through club meetings, events, and our Annual Spring Fashion Show, our team creates an environment where students can showcase their talents, creativity, and build on their professionalism to be well-equipped for the workforce upon graduation.
what we do
Among regularly scheduled club meetings, quarterly events, and talking all things fashion, we host our Signature Spring Fashion Show. Each year, the leadership and advisory team work together in generating a theme for the Annual Spring Fashion Show, where members of the club can participate as either a designer or stylist in their junior and/or senior year. This year's theme presented to all is "Protagonist". Meaning, students have created the main character(s) for a specific brand that inspires them, specifically for Spring/Summer 2023. Garments will be originally created or up-cycled and styled according to their own interpretation of the given theme. Students begin by creating a mood board, compelling client profile, and sketches. In the end, their concepts will be brought to life through their collection. The process includes consistent mentorship with a faculty member, partnership with the MODE leadership team for show planning, and community engagement with participating designers, stylists, and models.
