‘Rude Girl’: Inspired by Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty & Mean Girls the Movie!

The women who would rock this sassy, flirtatious loungewear collection love fancy nights out with the girls and love binging romance Netflix specials with sparkling drinks to unwind after a long work week being her own boss! These young women in young adulthood love playing with vibrant colors that being out femininity while enhancing their wild and free personalities. Spending a little extra money for romantic nights is mandatory for these women as a form of self-care, love, and a tiny gift for the accomplishments in their lives!

I created this concept inspired by Rihanna's Savage X Fenty lingerie brand. I currently love making clothing that embraces femininity and confidence in a woman's body. I primarily make lingerie loungewear and rave wear for women at festivals. When imagining brands that I'd love to work for as I was gathering a muse for this collection, I instantly thought of Rihanna's brand. Everything that her brand stands for I believe in. She believes in great quality lingerie, for all people, no matter how you identify or your body type. This is very different for lingerie brands such as Victoria's Secret.  Her use of vibrant colors and different silhouettes inspires a new way of thinking about lingerie, if she were to see my collection, I would hope she would think I would be a great member of her team! I bring an early 2000s/Y2K attitude to her brand. Mean Girls: The Movie, would spark a lot of fascination to Rihanna's audience as the early 2000s are trending today & the Mean Girls movie is iconic when we think about 'pretty in pink' aesthetics!
